This meter shows a range of moisture levels and a chart on the back of the card shows recommended levels for various plants. Wipe tip off after use and use a long, thin screwdriver to make a guide hole in tough soil outside so as not to break off the tip. If the probe should fail to move, sand the tip gently with sandpaper or steel wool to restore sensitivity. These meters can last for years, even decades, if cared for properly!
