Do these allow sunlight to get in?

Our winter plant jacket is slightly see through with tiny pores through out, some sunlight passes, but not as much as without the fabric, So when it’s sunny, you can open the zipper and let the plants absorb sunlight.

Can water get in or do you need to water the plants periodically?

A little rain water passes(plant blankets need to be completely wet), but not as much as without the fabric, so better check the plants sometimes, I recommend opening the zipper on a sunny day to allow the plant to absorb sunlight and water the plant.

How many years can this be used?

It probably depends on if you place it on things that would make it tear, Also depends on the usage environment. It’s okay to last 1 to 2 season in a very harsh environment, If used in a home garden, it is fine to use it for 2 to 4 seasons without severe weather.

How well does this work to protect against hail?

Yes, it prevents hail, even larger ones.

Why is our size not the mainstream rectangle?

Because the square bag has more internal space at the same height, it does not affect the growth direction of plant shoots and branch shape.

How low can the temperature drop and still protect plants?

Protects down to -15 degree temps, If it’s not a very hardy plant(such as tropical plants), I recommend installing a heated light source inside the plant bag.

Does this protection need to be removed every day?

No need to take it off every day, You can leave it on the plant all winter, The zipper can be opened in fine weather. It is usually remove it soon as the temperature changes, The zipped side allows access for any watering, inspection etc. Allows you to keep abreast of the health of your plants.

The size of our plant winter cover protection is 5ft x 5ft(1.5 x 1.5m), It is made of great 2.36 oz/sq(80g/m²) non-woven polypropylene fabric, Light weight plant frost protection covers and provides up to 4° F(-15℃) frost protection, Thicker and warmer than standard less expensive 0.74 oz/sq frost covers, Better service life and tear resistance than 0.74 oz/sq frost covers. It is hand washable or machine washable.
This 2 pack of large plant covers work great on your larger shrubs and smaller trees. The frost covers for outdoor plants are well made, The sturdy zipper makes it easier to put around a larger plant, If you check on your plants, not have to take the whole thing off. It also comes with a drawstring that can be tightened around the bottom (the added advantage of it not blowing off in a gale).
